Pastoral Ministry & Missionary Apostolate
COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course, Pastoral Ministry and Missionary Apostolate focuses on providing spiritual, emotional and practical care by pastors, consecrated persons, catechists and other lay pastoral agents to the Christian community. This involves teaching, guiding, protecting and counselling them through life's challenges with a goal to nurturing their faith, hope and love according to divine principles. While on the other hand, Missionary Apostolate is an active Church's response and endeavor intended to spread the Gospel message through evangelization, post evangelization and new evangelization to the whole world as commanded by Jesus Christ in Matthew 28:18-20. Succinctly put, Pastoral Ministry and Missionary Apostolate is the Church's obedience to the divine mandate given to her by Jesus Christ to proclaim and incarnate the Gospel message among humanity and in all facets of life. Thereby, transforming human beings, secular environments, such as homes, work places and society into the initial and original plan of God.
